Employment Programs

K5T supports participants in finding meaningful employment to get a step ahead.

To accomplish this objective, K5T has partnered with community and regional employers to provide job-specific and accredited training. These job placements provide valuable experience, transferable skill development, and opportunities to “earn while you learn”. Many K5T employer sponsors are Indigenous owned and operated.

A K5T employment coach can help with access to job placements, as well as provide the supports necessary to help reduce any barriers to employment.

  • Employment barrier reduction
  • Employability development
  • Certificate training to improve employability
  • Short-term, community-based work experience opportunities
  • Employer-sponsored work experience opportunities
  • Job-specific and accredited training
  • Community and regional employment opportunities
  • Community-based employment opportunities (environmental management, resource management, etc.)
