The Kitselas Community-Led Apprenticeship Development (KCAD) Program supports community members who wish to pursue skilled trades through apprenticeship development.

The program consists of orientation (introduction to Kitselas, Indigenous cultural competency, safety, apprenticeships, unions, current labour markets) and also the following.

K5T has developed strong employer relationships that provide sponsorship and valuable apprenticeship work experience.

To help remove barriers to pursuing trade apprenticeships, participants are given access to additional supports such as, transportation, childcare, and mental health services.
